Gardening for Dummies

Our home had a nice garden box when we moved in, so this year we cleared it out and, knowing nothing about gardening, planted some seeds and strawberry plants. It has been a lot of fun to watch and work on. This is a picture taken of the strawberry plants and the corn about three weeks ago.

Here is the same scene today, after about three days of torrential rain. Here are the rest of our plants. Life will find a way. Here is our rosemary, mint, basil, parsley and cilantro collection.Despite great neglect, our roses also bloomed beautifully.
This little plant also needs water to grow.

Great work on the garden. We really loved having a garden in TX. Great fresh veggies and herbs. And nice looking roses too.

Charlotte is looking very cute. Is she talking much?

I'm super jealous. We are still trying to figure out if we can do tomatoes in pots this year. What a dream, to have your own "bit of earth"! The garden looks great. And thanks--I'm feeling pretty miserable these days--hopefully for only a few more weeks.....

Keep the pics coming. I like good documentation on yard/garden projects. I'm skeptical that our veggies will survive. The mortality rate is high. Your roses look nice, it probably helps that your growing season is considerably longer.
